Ham Radio Software Links

Before you purchase one of my Icom CI-V or Yaesu CAT Ham Radio Interfaces, you are going to need some Amateur Radio software to get the most out of it. This page has links to various sites where you can download free ham radio software or shareware applications.

 

These range from simple rig control right up to full logging software and digimode communications such as PSK31. Our interfaces are fully compatible with the Popular Digimode and CAT control applications listed below.

WSJT-X (Freeware)
WSJT-X  is an open-source programs designed for weak-signal digital communication by amateur radio. It supports modes such as FT4, FT8, FST4, FST4S, JT4, JT9, JT65, Q65, MSK144, and WSPR. 

 

Ham Radio Deluxe ($99.95 plus support options)
Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD) is a suite of Windows programs providing CAT control for commonly used transceivers and receivers. HRD also includes mapping and PSK31 software.

FlDigi (Freeware)
Fldigi (short for F ast l ight digi tal) is a free and open-source program which allows an ordinary computer's sound card to be used as a simple two-way data modem. It supports many AFSK modes including PSK31, MFSK, RTTY, Olivia, and CW (Morse code). 

MixW (Freeware)
MixW stands for a Mixture of different modes. MixW now fully supports CW, BPSK31, QPSK31, BPSK63 & 125, MFSK, RTTY, FSK31, Packet (HF and VHF including TCP/IP over AX25), Pactor RX/TX (TX requires TNC), Amtor (Sitor) TX/RX (No TNC needed), Hellschreiber, FAX (RX only), SSTV, THROB, and MT63.

N1MM (Freeware)
N1MM Logger is the world’s most popular ham radio contest logging program. For CW, phone and digital modes, its combination of contest-optimized features is unmatched.

G4HFQ Legacy Yaesu CAT and Radio Management Software 
These are now a a free download and kindly hosted by M0LXQ and include CAT control and memory management programs for many Yaesu transceivers.

 

Commander (Freeware)
Commander allows you to control your  Alinco, Elecraft, Flexradio, Icom, JRC, Kachina, Kenwood, TenTec, or Yaesu radio from a PC running Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10; both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors of Windows are supported.

SuperControl (75 Euros)
CAT control software for a decent selection of Yaesu transceivers

 

Logger32
Logger32 has been developed to be a highly user configurable general purpose Amateur Radio logbook with computer control support for many radios and antenna rotators.
